As Americans celebrated the holiday yesterday (November 23), the actor and star of seven movies produced by Harvey Weinstein’s company Miramax posted a taunting message to the once-powerful producer who now stands accused of sexual harassment and assault by several dozen women.
After expressing gratitude for being alive, for the people she loves, and the people who have had the courage to speak up about sexual harassment, she added: “I said I was angry recently, and I have a few reasons, #metoo, in case you couldn’t tell by the look on my face.
I feel it’s important to take your time, be fair, be exact, so… Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! (Except you Harvey, and all your wicked conspirators – I’m glad it’s going slowly – you don’t deserve a bullet) -stay tuned”
On Twitter, fans of actress Uma Thurman called it Thanksgiving day dessert.

Naturally, media coverage of her ominous message-featuring a photo of the star as an avenging warrior in Kill Bill, Volume 2– has centered upon Thurman’s threat to Weinstein. Thurman has been asked about the allegations against Weinstein in the past, but Thurman has said she was too angry to discuss the topic, and promised to speak when she was ready.

But Weinstein is not the only target of whatever wrath she has to bring. Importantly, Thurman also speaks of Weinstein’s “wicked conspirators.”
Although we can’t know who in Weinstein’s circles she is referring to, a few names have surfaced in press accounts of Weinstein’s long history of reported sexual aggression.
Here are a few of the possibilities:
Dylan Harrow, the chief content officer of American Media Inc, publisher of the National Enquirer
One of the most damning reports pointing to collaborators came from the journalist Ronan Farrow, the New Yorker writer who recently broke a story about Weinstein hiring private security companies to dig up dirt about his accusers.
According to Farrow’s reporting, Dylan Howard of American Media also helped Weinstein’s team of lawyers gather intel. For that, the celebrity chef and TV presenter Anthony Bourdain called Howard “beneath whale shit.”

Bourdain is dating the Italian actress Asia Argento, who has come forward with an account of Weinstein raping her in a hotel room in 1997.
David Boies, lawyer
Farrow also reported that lawyer David Boies helped Weinstein hire the investigation companies, one of which was a firm called Black Cube that is run largely by ex-Mossad officers.
In what’s perhaps a coincidence but certainly appears to be a conflict, Boies’ firm, Boies Schiller Flexner, has represented the New York Times three times in the past decade, according to the paper. And the Times, of course, broke the first Weinstein bombshell story in October.
Cyrus Vance, Manhattan district attorney
Manhattan district attorney Cy Vance, no stranger to controversy, declined to press charges against Weinstein following an investigation of him in 2015, even though Vance’s office possessed audio recordings of Weinstein appearing to menacingly pursue a young model. Vance received a $10,000 campaign donation from David Boies after he dropped the case. (Boies had not represented Weinstein in the 2015 case.)
Bob Weinstein, Harvey’s brother, Miramax co-founder
Again, in an interview with the New Yorker, Bob Weinstein, the co-founder of Miramax and brother to Harvey, admitted to paying off two female employees of Miramax in non-disclosure deals drawn up to protect Weinstein from allegations of assault and harassment. But Bob Weinstein said he was misled about what the money, which came from his personal account and therefore wasn’t linked to the company or visible to its parent firm Disney, was for.
“Regarding that payment, I only know what Harvey told me, and basically what he said was he was fooling around with two women and they were asking for money”, Bob Weinstein reportedly told Farrow.
Quentin Tarantino
Finally, it’s impossible not to wonder whether Thurman knows more about what the film director Quentin Tarantino says he knew in an interview with the New York Times.
Tarantino’s most legendary films-including Pulp Fiction, and the Kill Bill films, which all starred Thurman-were produced by Miramax, and the director was close friends with the head of the studio. “I knew enough to do more than I did”, Tarantino told the New York Times about Weinstein’s interactions with women. “There was more to it than just the normal rumors, the normal gossip. It wasn’t secondhand. I knew he did a couple of these things.”
Mira Sorvino, the director’s former girlfriend, “told him about unwelcome advances and unwanted touching by Mr. Weinstein”, the Times reported. Tarantino also reportedly knew the actress Rose McGowan had reached a settlement with Weinstein.
Unnamed Weinstein and Miramax employees
Many other players in the Weinstein drama have gone unnamed in the press. There are assistants and drivers who reportedly relayed messages and disappeared after delivering actresses to Weinstein’s hotel or office. Some employees and former employees have broken or threatened to break non-disclosure agreements that they say have silenced them about Weinstein’s behavior. Still, it’s impossible to know who knew what, and when.
