Consumers in China spent $25.4 billion in Alibaba on Saturday (Nov. 11) during the company’s “Singles’ Day” event—the biggest shopping day in the world.

The sales total, almost 40% larger than last year’s, is larger than the GDP of Iceland or Cameroon, and larger than the US shopping holidays of Black Friday and Cyber Monday combined.
